  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes optional

  • 4 large eggs scrambled
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or a blend of cheddar and mozzarella

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a round pizza pan or baking sheet.
  • Prepare the biscuit crust: Flatten the biscuit dough and arrange it in a circle to form a crust on your pizza pan. Pinch the edges to create a slight border around the pizza. Brush the top with melted butter.
  • Bake the biscuit crust: Bake the biscuit crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and cooked through. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • Make the sausage gravy: While the crust bakes, cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once browned, sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir to combine.
  • Make the gravy: Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Stir in the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the gravy simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  • Prepare the scrambled eggs: In a separate pan, scramble the eggs over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat once they are just set but still slightly soft.
  • Assemble the pizza: Once the biscuit crust has cooled slightly, spread a generous layer of sausage gravy over the crust. Top with scrambled eggs and then sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Bake: Place the pizza back into the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and slice into wedges. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use turkey sausage or substitute the whole milk in the gravy for a lower-fat milk.
  • Feel free to add other toppings like sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for extra flavor and texture.
  • If you prefer a crispy crust, you can bake the biscuit dough separately for a few minutes before adding the toppings.
