Ingredients
  

  • 6-8 beef or turkey hot dogs boneless skinless
  • 2 cups chili store-bought or homemade
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can 8 oz crescent roll dough (or biscuit dough)
  • 1 small onion diced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard optional
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • Slice the hot dogs into ½-inch pieces and set aside.
  • Roll out the crescent roll dough in the bottom of the casserole dish to form a crust. Pinch together the seams of the dough.
  • Layer the hot dog pieces evenly over the dough.
  • Pour the chili over the hot dog pieces, spreading it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the chili layer.
  • Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add diced onions if desired.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with parsley or green onions if you like.
  • Serve hot with optional mustard and ketchup on the side.
