- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil divided
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1 green bell pepper sliced
- 1 red bell pepper sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup beef broth or water

Step 1: Marinate the Steak
In a bowl, combine sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce, cornstarch, and 1 tbsp oil. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes while prepping veggies.
Step 2: Stir-Fry the Vegetables
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add onions and bell peppers, stir-fry for about 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender. Remove from pan and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Beef
In the same pan, add the marinated beef. Sear for about 3–4 minutes, until browned and mostly cooked through.
Add garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Add Sauce and Finish
Add the cooked onions and peppers back to the pan.
Pour in the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, black pepper, and beef broth. Stir everything together.
Let cook for another 2–3 minutes, until sauce thickens slightly and everything is well-coated.
