  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Prepare Chicken:
  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Sear Chicken:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  • Make Garlic Herb Sauce:
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Melt butter, then add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add Italian seasoning, thyme, and rosemary.
  • Add Liquids:
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Combine:
  • Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to absorb flavor.
  • Serve:
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme and serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken thighs if preferred.
  • For a thicker sauce, simmer a few extra minutes or add 1 tsp flour dissolved in water.
