- 1 lb 450g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- ½ cup fresh orange juice about 2 oranges
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water optional, for thickening
- 1 green onion sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds optional, for garnish

Prep Shrimp:
Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, and honey. Set aside.
Cook Shrimp:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
Sauté Garlic:
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add garlic. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add Sauce:
Pour in the orange sauce. Bring to a simmer. If using cornstarch, stir it in now to thicken the sauce.
Combine:
Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook another 1–2 minutes.
Serve:
Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds. Serve over rice, noodles, or steamed veggies.
