- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- For the Creamy Garlic Dijon Sauce:
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest optional
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional, for richer flavor
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish

Season the Salmon:
Pat salmon dry. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Sear the Salmon:
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add salmon (skin-side down if using) and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, lower heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and cream. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
(Optional: Stir in Parmesan and lemon zest for extra richness.)
Finish & Serve:
Return salmon to the skillet and spoon sauce over top. Cook 1 more minute to heat through.
Garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm with rice, potatoes, or veggies.
